North Yorkshire Moors 16/05/2024

Put 4 guys into a comfy saloon car and travel the middle of nowhere! Try to shoot through the open windows of the car with some super long lenses at really small #wildlife subjects in the distance and it could be recipe for disaster……but we coped and got some #amazing shots!

Despite the cramped conditions, rolling #mist and low #cloud we never actually got to see the #birdlife we intended to find, but did manage to capture some #Lapwings (with chicks), #Pheasant and #Grouse (amongst other small critters).

Finding your prey can be difficult when driving and the sudden scream from the back seat to STOP, can be un-nerving. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the somewhat long day and although not as #fruitful as some members hoped, we obtained some pretty reasonable #captures.
