Pete Larkin

Hi, and thanks for looking at my photographs.

My name is Pete Larkin. I've been taking photographs since I was a kid off and on, but have only taken it more seriously over the last 15-20 years. I will photograph most things, macro, landscape, seascape, abstracts, and so on,  though pictures of people do not feature heavily in my portfolio...

Over time I have been drawn more and more to abstract and impressionist styles of photograph, using techniques such as very long exposure, ICM (intentionally moving the camera during the exposure) deliberate blur and macro. Rather than sit and plan out my pictures ahead of time, I tend to take my camera out and react to what is in my environment as I come across it...sometimes, it even works!

However, there is no doubt that I am happiest with storms, waves and moving water!  I use a Canon R5 presently as my main camera, with an occasional outing of my camera phone, and my Canon Powershot for photography whilst scuba diving.  I hope you enjoy my pictures.
